Things went well
Word of our enthusiasm, expertise and old fashioned friendliness spread quickly and our bicycle sales, service and accessories business thrived. (Glenn's experience and training included attending the New England Cycling Academy, a professional bike mechanic school.)
We were honored by Bicycle Dealer Showcase as one of the Top 100 stores in the nation at the end of our first year in business, chosen out of approximately 7,500 independent bicycle retailers. Their criteria was: store presentation (cleanliness, organization and signage); merchandising and display; training of personnel; productivity, and how well the store serves the marketplace; creditworthiness, standing among peers; and integrity.
In 1995 Piermont Bicycle Connection donated Police Squadron Bicycles to the Piermont Police Department to be used to patrol the village streets.
